Summary/Abstract: The subject area in the article regards matters related to the balance between work and personallife, which is sometimes perceived as an important element of modern strategies aimed at effectively achieving the organization’s goals while satisfying the needs of its employees. The paperdiscusses selected models of working time and the form of work organization, – telework, and describes its various aspects, enabling and supporting the struggleiving to reconcile work and, familylife. Moreover it shows the benefits related to the implementation models of working time fromthe point of view of both employees and the organization. The mentioned models allow the staffto rationally create their own working time and also, for example, also to fulfil their roles fulfillbeyond professional functions. The benefits related to self-realization and experiencing that theorganization recognizes the importance of individual needs of individual employees influencestheir motivation and better understanding of the changing needs of the organization. This canhave a crucial impact on the competitiveness of a company. The article also provides clues on thedirections offor further research in this area.
