Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to clarify heritage of the English naturalist Charles Darwin (1809 – 1882). It analyzes some of the key concepts in his evolution theory. And more specifically the research subject covers the categories “variation”, “struggle for existence” and “Natural selection” in the context of Darwin’s ideas as well their relation published in his famous work “On the Origin of Species” (1959). The research method used is content analysis.
