The Challenges of Insuring Industrial Systemin the Russian Federation

Summary/Abstract: The paper consists of three parts. Part One – Risks related to industrial systems - reviews the role of corporate risk management, the relation between the interests of the large clients of insurance companies and those of the insurance companies themselves and hence - its social implications; the international dimension of the greatest insurance damages in steel-processing plants and the related typical risks. Part Two – Corporate insurance - reviews the corporate insurance relations in the formation and development of industrial insurance systems. Part Three reviews the insurance in the integrated management systems of industrial organizations; the mechanisms for identification of insurance risks in steel-processing plants; the differentiation of risks by types, production sectors, and damage sizes as well as the methods for defining and formation of insurance coverage levels.
