Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the prerequisites and directions for financial decentralization in Ukraine. The results of its implementation for the period 2014-2017 are analyzed. The author reveals how financial centralization creates conditions for more efficient activity of local self-government bodies in ensuring social and economic development of the regions. The use of the infrastructure subvention for the budgets of amalgamated territorial communities is assessed. Dynamics of development funds of the local budgets is analyzed. The role of project budgeting in ensuring the development of regions is substantiated.
