Summary/Abstract: The article describes conventional motifs and imagery forming a genre model of “pastoral” songs in folklore as a result of folklore and literary interaction. Based on research material of the folklore of Kemerovo region, artistic principles of reproduction of a literary source in series of folk songs were analyzed and the role of seduction and gift-giving motifs in the convergence of folk “pastoral” song genre and heartrending romance was revealed.
