Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the use of the adjective prawilny in colloquial Polish.This word, which is a borrowing from the Russian language, appears in the sociolectalvarieties of language (e.g. in the criminal jargon, in the hip-hop sociolect, in the languagespoken by young learners). Today, we can observe the increasingly frequent use of thisword outside sociolects, in general Polish. The article presents the semantic developmentof this adjective. The corpus for the analysis comes primarily from various types of textspublished on the Internet.
