Summary/Abstract: The article presents the traces of the writing and artistic activity of Tomasz Treter, the canon of Warmia, a faithful disciple and secretary of cardinal Stanisław Hozjusz, in the collections of the Library of „Hosianum” Higher Theological Seminary of the Warmia Metropolis in Olsztyn. He was the author of theological and historical works, among which the most famous is the cycle of 100 poems and copperplates praising the virtues of his patron: Theatrum virtutum D. Stanislai Hosii. He became famous as an engraver and creator of the concept of illustrations, which depicted historical figures and allegorical scenes based on the works of the Warmian cardinal. The article draws attention to the presence of Treter’s work in the collections of the seminary library in Olsztyn, a fact usually overlooked in studies. And it was Warmia where the canon spent a part of his life, where he created and published some of his works, and in Frombork lived his last days.
