Summary/Abstract: The time of the most intense learning of each individual is in the period of schooling and organized learning in the education although learning takes place throughout the whole human life through various forms of education and training. Contemporary theoreticians from education disciplines see learning and acquiring knowledge in education as a process of upgrading previous knowledge to develop more complex levels of understanding; there are higher and lower levels of knowledge, between them exist hierarchical relationships and they are based on different learning processes. Bloom and his associates have developed a Taxonomy of Educational Goals which was revised by his associates 45 years after the first release. In the era of intense development of information and communication technology there are also digital versions of Bloom's taxonomy by Churches, Schrock and Fisher. Gagne's taxonomy of learning goals and John Biggs SOLO taxonomy are presented. The paper contains the basic properties of each of these taxonomies.
