Summary/Abstract: Space law, a branch of public international law, continues to develop concomitantly with cosmic advances and activities and will govern, through its principles and norms, all activities undertaken by states and international organizations in the outerspace and on celestial bodies.Due to the importance and consequences of the activity of exploration and use of the cosmic space, the legal regulation of the operations demanded by this activity, as well as its consequences, is a priority concern of the UN. Thus, under UN auspices, through the activity of the states, the first international legal regulations – of general interest have appeared – contributing to the alert outlining of this new domain of international law,which is cosmic law.
