Elements of Aesthetic Experience and Reception of Musical Work. Selected Aspects

Summary/Abstract: The following article describes and analyzes the issue of reception of musical work and elements of aesthetic experience shaped as a result of that reception. The author of the work discusses selected elements of that experience, with particular emphasis on musical emotion. Furthermore, the study also presents selected concepts and aesthetic theories, whose authors analyzed the nature and order of the reception of musical works. The author touches the issue of socio-cultural development of works of art and ways of their reception, and especially ways of listening to musical works, indicating the peculiar relationship between aesthetic experience and the accepted definition of art. Moreover, the author also tries to draw attention to the openness in the poetics of new music.
