Summary/Abstract: The prophets of the Old Testament end with John the Baptist, The Forerunnerof God, declared to be ”the greatest man among those born from women”.His spiritual elevation is impressive, because he cumulates in himself therevolutionary effort of all the prophets, in a life loved entirely in the devotionof the noble cause for which he was born. His message which recalls thenecessity for spiritual renewal for the human soul is always valid.
