Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article. This article analyzes the vast majority of young Ukrainian composers written 1960-1970 years of piano works and identify them innovative stylistic trends that have influenced the further development of this genre in Ukrainian music. Methodology. The research applies analytical, comparative-historical, induction and art-study methods. Said comprehensive methodological approach to this goal provides the possibility of complete and systematic review of the problem. The scientific novelty lies in the stylistic approach to comparative analysis of selected music and revealing them some special visual features present stylistic trends of expressionism, impressionism, neoclassicism and polystylistic trends. Conclusions. In the work of young Ukrainian composers 1960-1970s. Held an important stylistic turning point: mastering songwriting techniques leading composers of Western Europe and the USA, as well as prominent composers of the USSR, creative young people began to actively introduce new expressions and hardware in the own musical language, moving the Ukrainian musical art on the path of innovation. Piano music, as well as other musical genres of the years, has become a new foundation for Ukrainian music, including piano, following decades.
