Investigating the budget deficit

Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the budget deficit in order to highlight the outlook and to indicate a series of measures aimed at improving the fiscal position. For this, the results of the research involve three member states of the European Union, namely, Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary. The choice of these states takes into account both geographical and economic aspects. Thus, the paper highlights the main measures taken to limit the budget deficit and stimulate the budget revenues growth taking into account the tolerable level of taxation.
