Summary/Abstract: An iconic character of Transylvania, Ștefan Dorel Găină is known mostly as a photo artist; however, his career spreads overmultiple forms of art, such as video and installation. An ex-member of Oradea’s photo clubs Nufărul and Argus and a memberof Atelier 35 association, a university professor at Babeș-Bolyai University, Sapientia University and University of Arts andDesign, the non-conventional artist Dorel Găină talks in this text about his vision and conception on the art of photographyand recalls several funny or diffi cult moments artists used to have as members of photo clubs during the Ceaușescu regime.
