Summary/Abstract: This article is a report from an international academic conference held on 5–6 June 2018 in Kiev, organised by the Institute of the Ukrainian Language, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The event was entitled “Metalanguages of dictionaries of various types: Construction and application” and was devoted to the methodology of developing different types of dictionaries and metalanguages used in Slavic and non Slavic lexicography.
