Summary/Abstract: Artificial intelligence is an active promoter of the information society. Theformation of the information society is intended for the creation, dissemination and use of informationof significance to the economy, politics, society, culture and life as a whole. The digitalization ofsociety, the widespread use of information technology, ICT, revolution 4.0 leads to revolutionarychanges in all areas of society. The index is built on the basis of 4 sub-indices, each with 2-3components, which, in turn, are calculated on the basis of individual indicators: environment(political and regulatory environment, business and innovation environment); availability(infrastructure, availability, skills); use (by the population, business and government); impact(economic and social). The purpose of the study is to study the state and preconditions of thetransition from the information society to an intellectual society
