Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the genesis of narrative and modes of remembering the Bosnian Franciscan, Ivan Frano Jukić – ranging from old historiographical texts about him, artistic literary conceptualization of Jukić’s figure, to recent essays in the field of theory of literature. In seven works of literature (three dramas, two novels and two poems), and in the available historiography of literature, we detect different strategies for the production of positive conceptualization of Ivan Frano Jukić, indicating the thin border-line between the unforgotten Jukić, the remembered Jukić, „the heritage cult“ Jukić, and Jukić as the symbolic and cultural capital.
