Summary/Abstract: Constantin I. Istrati (1850–1918) was a member of the Romanian Academy (since 1889), PhD in medicine and chemistry, professor in physics and, between 1913–1916, he was President of the Romanian Academy. Constantin I. Istrati was named general Commissary of the 1906 National Exhibition, built on The Filaret Plateau, which is nowadays the Carol I Park.
