Summary/Abstract: There paper focuses on the local society of the village of Nagyléta in Bihar county in the 1920s. The subject of analysis is the effects of the land reform of 1920 on local society. In my opinion, in addition to the opportunities provided by the state to local agricultural society, there were also alternative land purchase possibilities. The land sales by large landowners and the inflation after World War I also gave the farmers access to new parcels. The mikro-level research can nuance the big talk about the history of the land reform of 1920.
