Faces of Polish patriotism − from the point of view of Polish pronunciation (on the 100th anniversary of independence)

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of research on the phonetic awareness of young Polesregarding the evaluation of phonetic variants of words such as patriota, patriotyczny,patriotyzm, patriotyzmie. The proposed conclusions point to a relatively good auditorydiscrimination of the phonetic variants of the words in question, a low level of linguisticliberalism of the young generation of speakers as well as differences between someof the respondents’ decisions and correctness recommendations formulated in dictionaries.
