Summary/Abstract: For one of its most significant cultural mediations, the Paul Eluard Museum of Art and History in Saint-Denis asked immigrants who are learning French to produce an audio guide for certain objects in its collections. First, the motivations, aims, processes and methods for developing the texts of this audio guide are described. In a second step, the linguistic and discursive functioning of the audio guide files is analyzed. The discursive genre of the audio guide is transformed by its construction, functions and cultural transfers. This audio guide provides cultural mediation while respecting the cultural rights of the citizens of Saint-Denis.
