ORGANIZATION AND FUNCTION OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE-FINANCIAL SYSTEM OF GENDARMERIE IN PERIOD 1918-1929

Summary/Abstract: The organization and functioning of the administrative-financial system within the Gendarmerie during the interwar period is a segment of the history of this institution that offers the possibility of a brief study. The paper brings to attention aspects concerning the evolution and organization of the accounting service, the budgetary funds, the monetary rights allocated to the gendarmes for various missions, the activities they carried out according to the tasks established by the hierarchical head. For the identification of these issues, the economic legislation was consulted, as well as archival documents from funds such as the General Inspectorate of the Gendarmerie held by the Central National Historical Archives.
