Summary/Abstract: Popular piety is next to the liturgy a magnificent form of worshiping The God. It arises spontaneously from spiritual needs of the believers. Nevertheless, it’s important that it undergoes constant formations that do not allow to distortion and perverting. We can distinguish several branches of popular piety among which the Virgin Mary has primacy. Its great value is evidenced by numerous manifastetions of veneration of the Mother of Christ. Presented Forms of Marian popular piety are only a small part of the enormous wealth of prayers, services and other Forms of worshiping her. The figure of the Bessed Virgin Mary is in some way inscribed in the Christian culture and the scenery of our Motherland. The developing sanctuaries and the pilgrimage movements testifiy about growing need to establish a relationship with Mary and fill the spiritual void resulting from laicisation and secularisation of the society.Numerous of Marian prayers, existing Rosary Roses as well as interest in services indicate the role of the Mother of Jesus and the Mother of all believers. It cannot be denied that Marian popular piety is a peculiar phenomenon and plays an important role in the development of the religiousness of a modern man.
