Summary/Abstract: Former Tajik Interior Minister Yakub Salimov got on a plane last week for a trip home to see his old friend, Tajik President Imomali Rakhmonov. But the trip wasn't voluntary, and it wasn't likely to have the trappings of a long-delayed homecoming. Salimov, who has been on the run from Tajik authorities since 1997, was extradited from Russia on 24 February and sent back to Dushanbe to face treason charges.
