Summary/Abstract: Geographical knowledge facilitates the formation and development of geographical culture, starting from the study and knowledge of nature, the living environment of one’s native land, the national costume, traditions, and customs, as well as the promotion of national cultural values. Motivating the pupils to learn more facts, events, and mysteries concerning their native country would be an argument in favor of the development of their national geographical culture. The Geography teacher educates and trains his pupils from the perspective of forming and developing geographical culture, both in lessons and during extracurricular activities, in harmony with the values the school promotes. The article presents examples of didactic activities designed for pupils, which lead to the acquisition of the values of the geographical culture, the formation of a free, harmonious, creative, and tolerant personality who is capable of being flexible in the various circumstances of life in the present day.
