Summary/Abstract: This article provides a reflection on the formation, enrichment and functioning of lexicographical memory, on the role played by usage in this complex process and on the authority of the sources of a specialized corpus of information and of documentation, used in the drafting of a second edition, revised and augmented, of a bilingual dictionary of Christian-Orthodox, Romanian-French and French-Romanian terms (Dumas, F, 2020), the first and only dictionary of this type of Romanian cultural space. We study the role of usage in the diachronic fixation of several French terms having the lexical status of Greek borrowings, as well as certain forms of manifestation of terminological forgetfulness, recorded between the first and the second edition of the dictionary. The analysis will focus on individualized Orthodox religious terminology in French and, respectively, on the Christian-Orthodox lexicon of Romanian, defined and listed in the specialized bilingual dictionary.
