Summary/Abstract: The article deals with creative approach of selected 20th century violin teachers in terms of practising. Being able to practise correctly and to process information belongs to the basis of a proper development of every student. In this article I focus on opinions of O. Ševčík, L. Auer, L. Capet, C. Flesh a I. Galamian on practising in reflexion of my own 10-year pedagogical experience.
