Since 1994 the Terezín Initiative Institute in cooperation with the publishing house Academia, since 2003 in cooperation with the publishing house Sefer, has been publishing its scientific yearbook focused on the history of the final solution of the Jewish question in Bohemia and Moravia, on the role of the Terezín ghetto and on fates of its prisoners. Among the contributors to Terezín Studies and Documents is a number of renowned Czech and foreign historians, and it includes yet unpublished documents and memoirs of witnesses. The Czech version of the yearbook has come to existence for the first time in 1996. Content of German and Czech versions in the same year is not always identical. Seit 1994 veröffentlicht das Institut Theresienstädter Initiative das wissenschaftliche Jahrbuch "Theresienstädter Studien und Dokumente". Das Ziel dieser Publikationen ist, Forschungsergebnisse von Studien, die sich mit der Geschichte Theresienstadts und der "Endlösung der Judenfrage" in Böhmen und Mähren befassen, zu veröffentlichen und einem breiten Publikum zugänglich zu machen. Das Theresienstädter Ghetto ist ein einzigartiges Phänomen in der Geschichte der "Endlösung" und hat dadurch eine große Bedeutung für die Erforschung der nationalsozialistischen Strategie und der konkreten Methoden zur Durchführung des Genozids.
