Purpose: The aim of the study is a presentation of everlasting significance of the double-entry. Thanks to the double-entry accounting systems are able to measure income that is to say the periodical increase of the invested capital. Methodology: Theoretical analysis of the duality principles as a development of the essence of capital and its thermodynamic fundamentals. Capital as an abstract ability of performing work cannot be created nor it arises from nothing. Findings: The double-entry is a guard in order to prevent of an attempt of violating the conservation principle during process of recording business events. Therefore double-entry accounting is a tool of income measurement. Accounting for labor is a completed system with the double-entry. This kind of accounting was in use in the dawn of civilization. Originality: Interpretation of the clay tokens unearthed by archeologists in Mesopotamia, as a compact and complete system of accounting for labor. Research made allows for the deeper understanding of the double-entry as an indispensable feature of the accounting systems. The study gave some answers for researchers’ question about theoretical fundamentals of the double-entry.

In the coming decades, the creation of a Green Economy will mark a line between two eras in all industrialised countries. At this very moment, the realisation of that Green Economy is a dominant social, political and organisational challenge. This essay looks at this challenge from a transition perspective. The main issue of this organising society in such a way that everyone is encouraged to contribute towards a Green Economy. With this essay we want to explore how we can favourably come out of this era. The Green Economy is a cyclic economy, which puts the accepted linear system of the economy on its head. Rebuilding our ‘scrap’ economy to a cyclic one does not happen on its own. On the contrary: it means a straight revolution. Several basic principles of business economy have to be changed and reformulated. In turn this will influence many connected mechanisms of society. In order to stimulate a smooth and swift transition towards a Green Economy, this document suggests seven principles, followed by some practical mechanisms linked to it. Prior to that, we will highlight some key concepts and briefly explain the urgency of this transition. We have written this document as a ‘working paper’ – a discussion piece – to contribute to a transition that we consider of tremendous value.

This article discusses current trends in the literature of Knowledge Management and psychology regarding the role of staff in improving the effectiveness of the organization. In recent years on the basis of Resources Based View (RBV) (Barney, 1991), there is a rapid convergence between the this two research directions, in particular on the role played by personal and cognitive characteristics of employee involved in improving the effectiveness and the market position of companies. Methodology and Findings: Discussing contemporary literature, this text indicates current trends in research on the potential mobilization of personnel and possible directions of development of both disciplines. The article also indicates the areas where the both group of researchers can combine their scientific interest in the role of incentive systems, training and social enterprise in building a strategy - that is in the domain of strategic human resource management (SHRM). Values: The objectives of current HR tasks are much more ambitious than those in classic HR and are focused on solving four kinds of problems: 1) How to use inner potential of employees to cope with changes and creating innovations?; 2) How to increase this potential?; 3) How to use the group processes for solving organizational dilemmas?, and 4) How to put human and social capital for fulfilling strategic goals, and especially how to improve market position and financial stability using this potential? Strategic human resource management (SHRM) might be the answer to this questions.

Human behavior in routine tasks is controlled by automatic processes (Bargh 1999). The goal of the research is to find factors, that support people to use more reflective and costly ways of request analysis. Conventional politeness of request (Carli 1990, 2001) and sex were considered as those factors. Laman and Douven (2001) suggests, that communication with opposite sex can be different than with same sex, because people tend not to reflectively analyze arguments. It is suggested, that people have tacit belief, that those arguments are irrational and incomprehensible. In street experiment group of 13 students asked random people (n=156) to lend their mobile phone. They used conventional, polite form of request and unconventional, opinionated form. The request was (1) not justified, (2) sham justified and (3) real justified. If is found that people tend to react unreflectively when asked conventionally by people of the opposite sex. Same percent (84,6) complied with the request when it was sham justified, but didn`t, when it was not justified at all (15,4%).Unconventional forms of request makes people react reflective and focus them on the argument itself. Presented results can support request by (1) making people focus on arguments by using unconventional form of communication and (2) showing meaning of sex. There is few research, that shows relationship between form of communication and sex in reflective thinking. This paper also broadens the knowledge about efficacy of orders and inter-sexual communication.

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the ability of network structures to reduce the risks arising from the economic crisis on the basis of studies’ results conducted in 50 companies, operating in the 10 network structures. The direct survey method was applied and respondents were members of top management. The findings show that the main advantages of such structures, especially in an economic crisis are the mutual support partners, the greater potential for market expansion, sharing resources, and more beneficial position in dealing with economic and administrative environment. Other hand the basic weaknesses of these structures include: a reluctance to co-operation between the network partners, autonomous thinking, focused only on partners’ own individual interests and conflicts between the central network and partner companies. The studies appear to be important, especially in the face of continued economic crisis in Poland and abroad and still emerging new forms of network organizations. The advantages and weaknesses of the functioning in the network structures during the economic crisis provide the originality of this paper.

The demographic problems and the migration problems are much closed related: the movement of populations have a great influence to the economic markets and to the social structures in the main time in two countries: from departure to arrival. The costs of emigration are very difficult to calculate. In this article we emphasize some demographic aspects of Romanian emigration.

A logical categorisation of the dimensions of counselling in social work should bear in mind the fact that counselling skills are at the basis of all social work tasks, as well as the fact that counselling is a major explicit part of describing the social work activity. Many social workers most likely cannot see where the place of counselling is. On the other hand, counsellors can be critical of the bureaucratic tasks of task focussing as part of social work. For some authors, the role of the social worker becomes that of a counsellor whenever the former endeavours to improve the client's capacity. Nevertheless, social work "often goes beyond counselling", because it enhances the resolution of problems and the help, which are "concrete, specific and focused". This dysfunction is important because it makes the difference between counselling skills focussing on an individual's emotional life and counselling skills focussing on solving the individual's problems and on practical aspects. Although counselling and social work can be guided by the same concepts and skills, and a trained social worker needs to be equipped at lest with the "basics of counselling", their aims can be different.
