This paper studies the early works of Martin Heidegger from the period between 1913 and 1920. It reveals in what way the philosopher develops his criticism toward the ideas of psychologism in Germany. The research focuses on the historical and philosophic context,in which these first attempts were made. The issue of psychologism is presented through analysis of the development of the psychology in the late 19th century and the early 20th century. Прагматизмът и литературата: навик, норма, матафора

In this text I will present the topic of my doctoral thesis Pragmatism and literature: habit, norm, metaphor. I will examine the philosophical tradition of pragmatism through the works of its founder Charles S. Peirce. The core of every pragmatic doctrine lies in the pragmatic maxim, which was originally presented by Peirce in 1878 in his paper How to Make Our Ideas Clear. Pragmatism is a new theory of sorting out the effects of concepts in the process of signification. The sum of these effects then forms the whole of the meaning. The process is based on the semiotic doctrine, according to which the sign lies in the core of the meaning. The key concepts for development and sustainability of knowledge are those of habit, norm and metaphor. Employing thеse concepts, I argue that the pragmatic approach is essential for a dynamic conception of the literary field. Habits are models of behavior, which aim at representing universal norms. Innovative metaphors allow discursive flexibility and establish new interpretative threads in the development of cognition.

The article is focused on the word-formation of ethnonyms and names of inhabitants in the Four Gospels of Tsar Ivan Alexander from 14th century. From methodological aspect the analysis in the work is based on the theoretical postulates of the Czech linguist M. Dokulil (1962). They were applied for the first time in Bulgaria by Ivan Kochev when working with dialectal material in 1971. The conclusions of the word-formation analysis refers to the place and the volume of each of word-formation types and to the competition between the suffixes.

Our efforts are focused on the task of presenting the Bulgarian personal name system at the beginning of the 21st century. The project represents a corpus-based study of the names of the newborn children in some of the largest cities of the country after Bulgaria’s accession to the EU in 2007. The study is based on statistical and linguistic analyses and presents types and forms of the personal names of Slavic origin.

The diachronic aspect of Bulgarian anthroponymy and the problems related to the language, history and cultural heritage of Bulgarian communities outside the state borders have never lost their relevance for Bulgarian science. The focus of this study is a little-studied aspect of the problems related to the personal name system of the Bulgarian immigrants from Southern Bessarabia. The purpose of the article is to systematize and introduce into scientific circulation anthroponymic data from archival documents from the beginning of the 19th century. The article presents the discussion about the name of the village, as well as various hypotheses about the origin of the oikonym and the toponymic space (residential district names).

The article examines an approach and offers an analysis of the representation of the basic cinema terms included in the Terminological Encyclopedic Dictionary of Arts. The approaches used to describe these terms in the most Bulgarian specialized reference guides like encyclopedias and dictionaries in cinema are overviewed. The specificity of the terminography approach used for the representation of the cinema terms is outlined on the basis of analyses and comparisons in such a way as to illustrate the terms’ typology as reflected in the overall structure of the dictionary. It is noted that these terms are related to each other as well as to the terms from other arts included in the dictionary.

CONSIDERAȚII PRIVIND OCURENȚA ACTULUI DE LIMBAJ AL SCUZEI ÎN MANUALELE DE LIMBA ROMÂNĂ CA LIMBĂ STRĂINĂ DE STUDIU

The field of research in which this study falls is that of “sociocultural pragmatics”, which focuses on the influence of external factors (social and cultural) on the formulation and interpretation of linguistic forms. We opted for the speech act of apology, given the role that expressive speech acts have in the dynamics of interpersonal relationships. The need to investigate the speech act of the apology is given by its role in restoring the imbalance that can occur in human interaction, the apology being the means that can determine the “saving” of interactions and relationships between interlocutors. The corpus of the research is extracted from several textbooks of RFL as the pragmatic trend has been very successful in teaching foreign languages, the notion of speech act being present in the textbooks, and the communicative approach representing a sine qua non condition for learning a language foreign. The theoretical approach is based on the theory of speech acts of the American philosophers Austin and Searle and the verbal interaction studies of the French linguist Kerbrat-Orecchioni.

Смяната на имената като проблем на историографията и колективната памет

The article presents the results of a study carried out within the project “The Post-1989 Democratic Transition – Interpretations of Historical Change, Social Experience and Cultural Memory in Contemporary Bulgarian Literature,” financed by the National Science Fund, Ministry of Education and Science. The study focuses on two films: Gori, gori, ogunche (Burn, Burn Fire) (1994), screenplay by Malina Tomova, directed by Rumyana Petkova, and Radiogramofon (Radiogram) (2017), written and directed by Ruzie Hasanova. The subject of the paper is the reflection within Bulgarian society during the so-called “Time of Transition” of one of the most traumatic period of Bulgarian history – the changing of the Bulgarian Muslims’ Turkish or Arabic names which the communist government initiated and enforced, at times using violence, during the 1960s and 1970s. The concept of the modern Bulgarian nation shared after 1989 was characterized by the same heavy nationalistic leanings which had been created and sustained by the totalitarian regime in the previous historical period. Some of them shaped the social representations after the collapse of the Communist regime. Using the two movies under consideration, the article looks at some of the main aspects of the changes in Bulgarian society – the collective images, the attitudes towards history, and the problems of group identities in the new social, political, economic and historical period. Along with mass media content analysis, the study is based on numerous interviews with local people. The chosen methodology aims to reveal and discuss the sites of trauma in the collective memories.

Образи на прехода в новата българска драма в периода 1989–2007 г.

In the early years of Bulgaria’s political transition (1989–2007), writing for the theatre was in a situation substantially different from the developments happening on the theatre stage. While the latter, especially during the first ten years after the political changes, went through a period of rapid resurgence and intense and profound transformation, playwriting suffered a deep existential crisis. In the plays of those authors who had established their names prior to 1989, the crisis manifested itself as a traumatic need for a desperate revision of the past and for a pessimistic end to it. The main image of the transition imposed by these dramatic texts is of filial guilt – the guilt of children towards their parents, and the apocalyptic irreparability of the broken relationship between them. For the young generation of playwrights of the 1990s and those who came after them, the obsessive image of filial guilt was no longer familiar. They outlined a different emblematic image of the transition – that of the cosmopolitan homeless person. In their plays, children and parents live together, sharing a common space and time, their roles alarmingly mixed up. The image of the cosmopolitan homeless person has retained its presence, albeit in a new way, in the dramatic texts written after the beginning of the 21st century, where it is manifested mostly in the sharing and immediate experience of personal stories. Out of the emblematic perspectives and images of the transition in Bulgarian drama from the period 1989–2007, the only one retained in today’s writing for the stage, though in various different transformations, is that of the cosmopolitan homeless person. By contrast, the image of filial guilt has long disintegrated and is now forgotten, while the endeavour to distance and forget the past has been replaced by the theatre’s newly awakened critical attitude towards the processes and the complex dynamic developments current in the modern world.

In addition, I also aim to reveal the genre characteristics of Alexios’s letter.

The article reviews the expression of possessors with nouns referring to entities that may satisfy the requirements of frame elements which are part of the semantic frames in FrameNet. The frame elements realised with the main verbs for transfer of possession in a limited number of corpus examples are considered. Apart from the frame element (referring to the object of the transfer) and the two entities between which/whom the transfer of possession takes place, non-core frame elements are also explicitly realised. The sets of appropriate nouns and their features are defined based on the realisation of the frame elements in the corpus examples.
