Franciszek przechodzi z teologicznej idei do namacalnego konkretu.

Jedna z najczęściej używanych przez muzułmanów formuł – czyli basmala, z którą przystępują do różnych czynności i działań – brzmi: „W imię Boga miłosiernego i litościwego” (arab. Bi-smi [A]llahi [a]r-rahmani [a]r-rahimi).

An important achievement, the printing of the Buda Minee (Μηναιον) in 1804-1805, was possible only because of the extended co-operation between the scholars in Transylvania, Wallachia and Moldavia. Researching the book commerce and the history of the cultural relationship amongst those involved into the printing and distributing of these religious books (containing the messes of all the 12 months of the year) demonstrates that these kinds of books were printed in two editions: one for Transylvania and the Hungarian parts of the Empire and another one for Wallachia. As for Moldavia, not being printed in the printing house of the Mitropolia, the distributing of the Minee was made not with the assistance of the hierarchical structures of the state or of the Church, but with the one of the merchants, having nevertheless the agreement of the authorities. The Minee printed in Buda in 1804-1805 reached Moldavia quite soon, the first copies being registered here to the end of 1807.The price of the books fluctuated in time, depending of the state of the book when sold: whether it was binded or not; the context of the commercial transactions; the currency used. The price of an entire series of Minee was quite high, so there were cases when they were sold by piece. Thus, the entire series of Minee was bought by the contribution of more parishioners or of the whole parish. The analysis of the notes made on the books proves that the owners of the Buda Minee were mainly the religious institutions. Even if a private person, clergyman or laic, bought a Minei, in most of the cases he gave it to a church or a monastery. Nevertheless, there were rare cases when the book was bought for private reading.

The Government of Zanzibar has prepared development strategies of Vision 2020 on a medium scale known as the Zanzibar Strategies for Growth and Reduction of Poverty (MKUZA II) whose main objectives are to take care of the economic growth and the reduction of poverty in Zanzibar. To streamline efficient service delivery to the beneficiaries in Zanzibar, the Government has placed religious duties and responsibilities to three Government-run institutions. These are the Kadhi’s Court, the Office of the Mufti of Zanzibar and the Waqf and Trust Com- mission (WTC). Being allocated on a very strategic position commercially, politically and even socially, Zanzibar is sandwiched between several forces as shown in its history. In view of the aforesaid, there is a need to revisit the overall responsibilities of the three institutions, compare them with the capacity they have in reelection to both local environmental changes as well as those from a global perspective. This study will concentrate on reviewing the WTC, which is a corporate body that has the power to conduct, coordinate or regulate by using its name any of its functions in accordance with the provisions of the Act Islamic law and rules of good practice. The aim is to review economic variables and functions of the WTC in relation to 95% of the population in Zanzibar. The study is also intended to explore the types of challenges facing the administration of the Waqf Commission in the areas of creativity, innovation, responsibility, involvement, support and participation of the concerned stakeholders and record management system.

This paper discusses the characteristics of the status and general condition of archival material of religious communities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and about the factors which have impact on that condition. Most attention is devoted to the status of archival material of religious communities at the time of the socialist development of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the changes that occurred after the collapse of socialism and the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the first phase generally everything was unified (regulations and their enforcement), while in the second phase (from 1992) caused some positive changes in the spirit of European archival practices. However, this process of transition in Bosnia and Herzegovina takes place in very difficult circumstances: over the four-year war cataclysm (1992-1995) to the post-war complex administrative and political realignment.

Oriental catechisms represent miaphysitic Christology based on formulations of St. Kyrillos of Alexandria (μία φύσις του̃ Θευ̃ λόγου σεσαρκωμένη). This article presents the first analysis of tropes in the letters of the first Elder Lev (Nagolkin) of Optina Pustyn Monastery (Opta’s hermitage) - i. e. proverbs, allusions, allegories periphrasis and metaphors. Elder Lev most frequently used such tropes as “the storm of temptations”, “the heart field”, “happy harvest”, “rags of the passions”, “the marriage of the soul”, “verbal sheep”, “soldier of Christ”, “spiritual milk”, “the mind's wolf”, “a log of pride”. One special thing about these tropes is that they blend together several biblical quotations and the Gospel images. Both simple and extended metaphors are used, and all the metaphors in the letters of St. Lev of Optina have a special function: they actualize biblical events, describe symbolically the inner world of a person and show the way to the salvation of the soul. It is typical of the Elder to use his own unique tropes, which are very different from the traditional poetic images of the Russian literature of the 19th century.
