In numerous aspects of human life we can encounter doctrinal, ideological and worldview disputes. These disputes are a vital part of people’s lives. Fulfilling essential social and individual needs eventually lays a foundation for the development of values and a worldview system. The process of developing a worldview system needs an increase in intensity especially during the time of adolescence, which is characterized by the dynamics of growth, discovery of the world, values and feelings. It is a time of growth and of independence and the formation of a worldview. An important problem connected with the development of the hierarchy of values is introducing a young person to the world of values. The maturing process of young people is a difficult, complicated and painful process both for themselves and for their surroundings. From generation to generation a boost in the process of maturation can be observed, which is called an acceleration. Society and its manners do not often encourage the harmonious passage of an adolescent into adulthood. Many media sources as well as external factors bring risks to proper youth development within the psychosocial field, including morality. An effective way of introducing young people into the surrounding world is mainly a task for parents, teachers and educators, considering the youth value system does not always correspond with social expectations. Many young people succumb to bad tendencies in building their value systems. This results in more and more common situations in the field of social inadequacy.

The text is focused on Bulgarian short films from the last years, which deal with the sins of their characters, mainly without punishment. In one option, a dramatic event is chosen – death, usually not caused by the hero, as a key to any questions and feelings. That’s why in „Linda“, „Dog“, „Antigone“, „Hole“, the funeral is a major story pillar. In the other option, the focus is on the little crime, „so little that you can not forget it all day.“ Small bands and stories, pre-scene behind-the-scenes, and the possibilityof watching and skepticism („Snail“,“Shame“,“Morning Coffee“, „Robbery“). In the short films, opposite to the full features, the end is often positive – the goodness triumphs. Which is not only film but also life position.

Who is Entering into Marriage in Slovakia? On Some Aspects of the Choice of Spouse in 1992 – 2018. The study identifies main characteristics of persons entering together into marriage in Slovakia in the period 1992 – 2018. We focus on the analysis of age, marital status, education and nationality of the engaged couple. The major question of the paper is whether the transformation of family and reproductive behavior in Slovakia is reflected in the patterns of assortative mating. The results of the analysis pointed to the fact that the Slovak marriage market and patterns of partner behavior still show a high degree of homogamy. Most partners entering the marriage have the same nationality, education and a similar age. However, we can identify features that clearly point to changes in the choice of partner and speak of its greater diversity. These are based on both structural (possibilities and opportunities to marry a particular person), social (social barriers between groups) and individual (preferences, values, etc.) factors, which undergo significant changes over the period. The wedding market is also "opening up" and modern patterns of partner behavior are gradually being added to the traditional patterns of assortative mating. Sociológia 2020, Vol. 52 (No. 4: 374-402)

This article studies how educational aspirations of children are shaped in Biblián, Ecuador, a traditional sending country. Data sources were a multi-level survey and semi-structured interviews that were analysed using logistic regression and thematic analysis, respectively. Several theoretical relationships are confirmed: the household socioeconomic status, caregiver’s educational aspirations and age are the most important variables that predict the educational aspirations of children. Child migratory dreams and the absence of the father or the mother only predict the educational aspiration of getting a high school degree, but do not predict the aspiration of a graduate degree. Thematic analysis suggests that, besides seeing education as a means to have higher incomes, mothers perceive it as a sign of social status and assign it an intrinsic value.

In the paper, we considered the cultural ideal as the basic feature that distinguishes the theories of education according to Plato’s line from the theories of education according to Isocrates’ line. By example from the history of culture, we have shown the significance of cultural ideals in the theories of education of Antiquity, the Middle Ages and the Modern Age. In paper, authors tried to solve two objectives: firstly, to consider the consistency of the cultural ideal of an “intelligent person” with modern knowledge of the experience of being of Dasein-the-One; secondly, to propose a new cultural ideal, as a lighting, as a way to build an ideal Earth’s Republic. The authors stand on the point of view, that at the beginning of the 21st century, the Earth’s civilization for the first time manifested as a planetary force and this tendency should be correspondingly reflected at the philosophy of contemporary education. The authors considered the criticism of the Modern Age ideal of an “intelligent person” and proposed a new cultural ideal, which we called the metaphor “Those Who Transform the Universe.” Mentioned ideal is lighted the chasm that is between the authenticity and inauthenticity existence, between the Selbst and the das Man.

Although violent video games were designed to train American soldiers, in order to desensitise them to the suffering caused, to flatten the feelings of pity and compassion for the victims, it is paradoxical that, instead of withdrawing them after reaching their goal, the producers upgraded the games, offering them to children aged 9-10. The result has been an increase in physical and verbal aggression and violence, amid a 40% decrease in empathy in the last twenty years, when technology and the Internet have been integrated into the life of contemporary man, especially of children and adolescents.Beyond some of their scientifically proven positive effects (developing reaction speed and three-dimensional thinking, breaking down tasks, promoting relaxation, emotional regulation, reducing pain, especially in painful medical treatments such as cytostatic chemotherapy, anxiety and mild forms of depression), the attitude towards these games must be one of spiritual discernment, able to avoid compulsive play and digital addiction. This implies on the part of the parents a control and a selection of the contents, and on the part of the children, a limitation of the time spent in their company and the replacement with other beneficial activities for their own physical development and spiritual maturation. The full and definitive answer is given to us by the Christian faith, in words such as those spoken by Christ the Saviour: "Learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." (Matthew 11:29), which can be added to the "golden commandment" of love that the Lord left us, as a testament to eternity.

Political and economic pressures in newsrooms, “fake news” and increasing lack of trust from the part of the audiences are some of the recurring problems professional journalistshave to face today, closely linked to the “retreat” in democracy and to the fast-paced mediaenvironment pushed by technology advancement. How can journalism education adapt to the accelerated changes affecting the media landscape? Some of the provisional answers to this central question imply encouraging flexibility and adaptability in managing information acrossdifferent platforms, struggling to highlight relevance and making the best of the up-to-datetechnological tools, while keeping in mind that “journalism’s first obligation is to the truth” and “its first loyalty is to citizens” (Kovach & Rosenstiel 2003). Entrepreneurial and technical skills should empower future journalists to master transmedia storytelling, crowdfunding and crowdsourcing, get used to the mobile status of the profession and envisage their own media business initiatives, as well as stay true to ethical values.
