The author analyzes the current terms for the »appliance for freezing food in«: ledenica and zamrzivač. Their expressive and content-related shortcomings are pointed out. A new term, smrznica, is proposed, bringing into harmony the process described as smrzavanje and the term smrznuta hrana. The term smrzavač is reserved for the device built into the »appliance for freezing food in«, which is the true effectuator of the process of freezing.

In this paper a documentation is presented on the basis of which is shown that from the beginnings of the Croatian branch of the СупПо-Methodian tradition its language is accordingly called "slovenski". Later in the Middle Ages this name became interchangeable with "hrvatski". This was transferred to the literature whose language was based on the vernacular. With certain variations in space and time this interchangeability remained in vigour until the end of the 18th century. It determines one particular literary body in the Slavic complex: the Croatian Literature and its language.

In modern grammatical descriptions of the Bosnian language, conjunctions and particles are considered to be different parts of speech. However, there is a significant degree of disagreement in the grammar literature regarding the classification of particular words into conjunctions or particles. This paper discusses the words whose affiliation with conjunctions or particles has not been clearly defined. First, the categorical affiliation of words i, ni, niti, ili, bilo, ha and (h)em, which may appear in front of all units in the series, including the first one, is analyzed. It has been concluded that these words are conjunctions in all cases except when they are in front of the first coordinand. In that case, they are particles. Words dakle, samo, jedino and tek, which are often regarded as conjunctions of concluding and exclusive clauses in literature, are classified into particles. Their affiliation with particles is best proven by their distribution, which is much more independent than the distribution of coordinative conjunctions. The distribution has also demonstrated that the words i and ni as a second member of the constructions such as pa i, pa ni, te i, te ni, a i, ali i, etc. are particles, while the first members of the structures are always conjunctions. It has also been shown that the word po is never a conjunction. In some cases, it is classified as a preposition and in some cases as a particle. The word kao is considered a particle in all contexts. This particle can be an integral part of complex junctors such as kao da, kao što, kao kad. As far as the word neka, which in literature is considered in some cases a particle, and in some cases a conjunction, it has been established that it is always a particle. The word li behaves differently in different types of subordinate clauses. In the dependent-interrogative clauses it is a particle, and in the final and conditional clauses the word li is a conjunction. In final clauses, it is realized as part of a complex discontinuous junctor ne ... li.

The goal of this paper is to show the ways in which the inversion of the parts of speech (i.e. placing the 'rhema' in front of the 'theme') could be given a pragmatic interpretation rather than an exhaustive pragmatic analysis of all examples from the source. The starting assumption is that the inversion (in the sense how I define it) in the novel Tuđe gnijezdo by Husein Bašić is a very frequent intentional pragmatic act which could be quite appropriately explained (even) in the framework of the Sperber and Wilson's relevance theory. These explanations and conclusions concerning them are applicable not only in case of this selected novel by Bašić, but I believe that their applicability is much wider

The Daničić Gospel is a Bosnian manuscript written in the late fourteenth or early fifteenth centuries. Variants of the Daničić Gospel are available based on the edition of the Nikolje Gospel by Đuro Daničić, so this manuscript is also known in literature as the Nikolje b Gospel. The textological research of the Daničić Gospel in recent studies have offered conflicting views on its relationship to the Nikolje Gospel. On the other hand, recent research of the Bosnian group of manuscripts has shown that the Daničić Gospel often agrees with the Čajniče Gospel in Bosnia. This paper explores filial relations between the Daničić Gospel and the Nikolje Gospel on the one hand, and Daničić Gospel and the Čajniče Gospel on the other hand.
