Due to the growing pressures on the educational area to provide young people with the knowledge and skills needed to live and work in a constantly changing society and the technologies and trades that today do not exist, the model of learning organization has been extended to schools, as an attempt to re-conceptualize them from organizations that are traditionally linked to the learning and knowledge process to organizations that are capable of responding with efficiency to uncertain and dynamic environments. The purpose of this paper is to identify the state of affairs in the Romanian educational system (pre-university level) in order to provide a starting point for the implementation of the ‘school as a learning organization’ concept and model. The approach is theoretical, using desk research of regulations and data regarding the public expenditure in education, per capita funding, number of pupils enrolled, PISA results and correlations between the action-oriented dimensions (including their key characteristics/elements) of the model proposed by Kools & Stoll (2017) and the performance indicators (including descriptors) that are used at the Romanian national level. Results show that, between 2009 and 2018, school organizations were under increasing pressure and the implementation of this concept and model at system level could be an opportunity to focus on students from the organizational side, having the determined correlations as a foundation.

The first part of this study looks at what New Zealand and Slovakia have in common despite their great distance from each other; both countries have around five million inhabitants and cultivate a national identity closely bound to their agricultural past. The study also points out that while the Slovak–New Zealand bilateral relationship on an economic, political, or person-to-person level is certainly not that intensive, Slovaks nonetheless have particular perceptions of New Zealand. The image of New Zealand in Slovakia is a highly positive one, primarily thanks to television, the Internet, and other mass media. In its conclusion, the study examines the image and perceptions of New Zealand in Slovakia by analysing local media sources and drawing on the author’s ten years of experience as a teacher of New Zealand studies at a Slovak university. The presented picture of New Zealand is a contribution to the discussion of the popular perception of that country in Central Europe, particularly through the lens of university students, who over the years have taken classes examining New Zealand society and its institutions as a part of their broader education in British and American studies.

This study was investigated to comparative performance and digestibility of nutrients in Afshari and Ghezel ram lambs. In the first trial 30 animals at the age of 5 months (15 Afshari (AF) and 1z5 Ghezel (GH) ram lambs were randomly allocated to individual pen, in order to determined fattening performance for a period of 90 days. In the second trial 10 animals at the age of 10 months from each ecotype were randomly allocated in individual metabolic cages to determine the in vivo digestibility for 8 days after adaptation period. Data were analyzed in a complete randomized design using the GLM of SAS and the means were compared with Duncan’s multiple range test. The results showed that there was no significant effect in initial body weight, daily gain, feed conversion ratio and feed efficiency between treatments. Ghezel ram lambs had lower feed intake compared to Afshari ram lambs. The study showed that there were no significant differences for digestibility of DM, protein, EE, ADF, NDF and P, Ca, Mg, Fe and Cu between treatments. In conclusion the results showed that GH had no significance effect on feed digestibility and fattening characteristics of cross breed lambs.

In the present study is discussed the physiological role of some biogeneous elements and radicals determining the structure of the bones, studied in the high school course of Chemistry and Environmental Protection. The concept of oxidative stress, caused by free radicals, either produced in the body or introduced to it, is discussed in this paper, adding to the idea of natural antioxidants. Factors increasing the oxidative stress, accelerating the osteoporosis and changing the concentration of calcium, phosphorous, magnesium, copper and zinc are described. The involving of this topic in the syllabus will raise the medical knowledge of students. It will help the formation of healthy habits in the coming generation. This information will help younger people to live a healthy lifestyle, and to prevent osteoporosis in the elderly. This task corresponds with the state health policy. It will also motivated students to study chemistry.

This paper builds on the results of an empirical report prepared in the context of the European project MAR.CH. and a review of the literature on the use of ICT in school. An original study on the role of the teacher in contemporary online (interactive) teaching is presented. The effectiveness of interactive methods for education was analyzed with the help of original online questionnaire. Our results contribute to understanding the effectiveness of interactive education in secondary schools in Bulgaria and Europe, as well. The conclusion is that in online lectures or distance learning via multimedia presentations, it is preferable to have good visualization of the material. Furthermore, this type of teaching is mostly preferred by the students as a mean for self-training and to research additional information rather than as a primary method for learning new material. The role of the teacher’s actual appearance in the videos and multimedia presentations does not seem to be crucial to the teaching of the material. Much more important though are the technical characteristics and the post processing of the video, ensuring good visibility of the slides with the material. We also stress that, based on our research, distance learning is generally not preferred as a the principal method for teaching. The results, published here for the first time, have lead to a successful defense of a Master’s Thesis at the Faculty of Physics at the Sofia University in July 2016.

The aim of adapting e-learning systems is to provide effective learning by supplying students with the opportunity to communicate with an environment that meets their needs, behaviour, and knowledge. The design and creation of learning materials is directly dependent on the learning objectives. The more different groups of students a course is adapted to, the higher the degree of personalization of the learning process is. In this article we present the results of a study on the types of adaptive systems depending on the technological tools and methodological approaches for implementing adaptability and personalization in learning. Special attention is paid to the applied technologies in the development and delivery of adaptive learning content as well as to the ways of modeling an individual learning path.

A geometric relation is derived between the roots of polynomials with roots in four specially located points on a line and the roots of the corresponding derivatives. More precisely, three of the points under consideration are arbitrary while the fourth one depends on them in a special way. Some polynomials of a real variable and with real coefficients are considered as an application.

The article gives an animation-geometric representation of polynomials on the complex plane, provided that the module of the complex variable is 1, in the form of satellite systems. A similar representation in the form of spatial satellite systems is given for polynomials in a complex variable, whose coefficients are vector quaternions (their scalar part is zero). The effectiveness and feasibility of using animated drawings as a means of modern didactics in teaching mathematics is presented.
