СТРАХ ОД КРИМИНАЛА, РОДНЕ РАЗЛИКЕ У ПЕРЦЕПЦИЈИ РИЗИКА

Author(s): Sladana Ðuric / Language(s): Serbian / Issue: 4/2013

One of the most consistent findings of the research into the phenomenon of fear of crime is that women express a higher degree of fear in comparison to men. The concept of vulnerability also designates gender as one of the most significant and stable predictors of fear of crime. Taking this as a starting point, a study was conducted in order to examine gender differences in fear of crime and test the theoretical claim that risk perception and the behavioural response to fear of crime are gender-differentiated and related to the level of fear. The analysis was based on the data obtained in the course of the regional research project “Fear of Crime in Large Cities”. Using a specially designed questionnaire, the method of inhome interview was applied on a multistage random sample of 1959 adult respondents living in urban parts of the cities of former Yugoslav republics (Belgrade, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Sarajevo, Skopje). By choosing the appropriate questionnaire items, three scales for the measurement of fear of crime, the perception of victimization risk, and the behavioral response to the possibility of criminal victimization were produced for the purposes of this paper.

ТЕОРИЈА РАЦИОНАЛНОГ ИЗБОРА И ЗАВИСНО ПОНАШАЊЕ

Author(s): Miloš Krstic / Language(s): Serbian / Issue: 4/2013

The rational choice theory assumes that people when deciding whether to smoke cigarettes or not, use the mathematical analysis in order to estimate the values of indicators of individual preferences. There are risk andtime preferences. The former shows aversion (or inclination) to a risk and is expressed through the coefficient of risk aversion (indicator of risk preferences). The latter measures the degree of preference for presentsatisfaction in relation to the same satisfaction in the future or, in other words, shows the extent to which individuals prefer to satisfy their needs today, instead of in the future. The degree of preference for presentsatisfaction with regard to the same satisfaction in the future is expressed as the rate of time preference (indicator of time preferences). The results of Ida’s and Gato’s researches clearly indicated that the risk aversion coefficient and the time preference rate can predict successful cessation.

Типы российских дворянок начала XX В. По отношению к собственной фертильности и материнству

Author(s): Mitsyuk Natalya Aleksandrovna / Language(s): Russian / Issue: 2/2014

On the bases of numerous ego-documents, using biographic and psychoanalysis methods, the author outlines four general types of noblewomen in the gender system of Russian society in the early XX c. The negation of maternity and family values was represented by «new women» (feminists, nihilists) who considered maternity as the form of their personal freedom restriction. «Erotomaniacs» opposed feminine sexuality to maternal one. The social cultivation of maternal duty brought some noblewomen back to the family by means of «deliberate maternity». Women's need for the new kinds of gender identity adoption led to the «universal mothers» appearance. They defended free maternity, right to women's fertility restriction in the name of public activities. The state maternity support was aimed to help them.

Тревогата в психоанализата

Тревогата в психоанализата

Author(s): Milena Motsinova-Brachkova / Language(s): Bulgarian / Issue: 1/2013

Тhe article presents anxiety as fundamental to psychoanalytic understanding of the nature of man as a speaking being and his mental functioning. As a reason for anxiety initially Sigmund Freud indicates suppression of mental images in which the remainder of not symbolized libido raises concern. Second version of Freud presents anxiety as a product of the loss of an object; castration, associated with the Оedipal complex, implies the absence of the object. One part of the libido remains inaccessible to symbolization and that this part of the libido Jacques Lacan would call Real. Lacan regarded libido problems beyond phallic and Oedipal complex. By introducing the subject „little a” it shows that anxiety is objectless. The site „little a” functions as a lost object – oral object (the breast), the anal object, gaze, voice. The symptom is a therapeutic key to anxiety in psychoanalysis. Analytical work with the symptoms depends on the psychic structure of the subject – neurotic or psychotic structure. Analysis began because anxiety or some painful symptoms, associated with dysfunction and ends with a new final symptom that helps man to name the unnameable part of his being, and in fact this is a new way of living.
