Julia Dickstein-Wieleżyńska (1881–1943) – a historian of literature and philosophy, poet, publicist, social and educational activist, as well as a translator of fiction and scientific literature from many languages – is still an under-appreciated figure in literary studies. The paper focuses on the general characteristics of Dickstein-Wieleżyńska’s activity as a transcultural mediator and translator, as well as on the role of translation against the background of her numerous interests and activities. Her unpublished correspondence with an anthropologist and historian of religion, Raffaele Pettazzoni (1883–1959), allows to see her translation work in a personal and sociological perspective, as a collaboration or translaboration (Alfer) between various agents of the translation process. Dickstein-Wieleżyńska’s lettersto Pettazzoni also show the limitations encountered by a female intellectual in the literary and scientific world of the first half of the twentieth century.

This research studies monitoring of Fe2O3 iron particle size produced in industrial companies on the premises of a hot rolling mill. The analysis used the distribution curve method - particle size distribution by intensity. This method determined which particles occur most often in the sample, what is the average particle size, smallest and largest particles. Digitization of individual procedures and monitoring of technological processes provides data that can be worked with at a given time.The obtained data represent a source of information for their further processing in the field of maintenance prediction.

The complexity of the cell structure and high overlap causes poor image contrast. Complex imaging factors in lighting differences, dye concentrations, and other variables such as drying air, excess blood, mucus, bacteria, or inflammation can make automatic visual interpretation more difficult. This study proposes an approach model by combining basic image processing techniques in deep learning for segmentation of the nucleus in the Overlap Cell Image of Pap Smear of Cervical Cancer patients. The purpose of this research is to segment by increasing the identification accuracy of Pap smear images on RepomedUNM public data. The results have the best performance as seen in the MSE value, the lowest RMSE value is 0.2024253 and the lowest PSNR is 0.04009707 and the highest PSNR is 65.3826018 dB. So, this study can be used as a reference in identifying the Cervical Cancer Nucleus as Medical Image Registration (MIR) patients.

Godišnju nagradu „Antun Branko Šimić“ dobiva Miro Gavran za poemu Obrana Jeruzalema, koju je 2022. godine objavilo poduzeće Stilus knjiga iz Zagreba.
