Today we are witnessing a level oftechnological development that has not been seen sofar. This state actually forces us, to a certain extent, toadmit what Schuurman (2010) claimed, that "the timeof the technological society is now!".Can we allow technology to develop freely, unhindered? Can we let the thirst for knowledge andfor evolution to guide our actions in a society wheretechnology has an alarming rhythm of development?Historical evidence shows the opposite (Hiroshima,Chernobyl, etc.). Thereby, enthusiasm declines andcriticism and suspicion arise regarding the fact thatnot all that is technology is good and not all of it canbe used for the benefit of humanity, or that technologywill exceed the adaptability of humans. However, at once with the critical thinking, a new fieldof research begins to emerge, that is technoethics.Technoethics establishes the link between technologyand ethics in helping society. The need for such aresearch field arises with the onset of industrialrevolutions when it has been easy to see thattechnological advances will influence human activityand life, and that greater responsibility is needed interms of the use of technology. And how can weintegrate ethos the moral values and the moral normsin technological activities, if not by establishing a linkbetween ethics and technology, or, more precisely, establishing an ethics (technoethics) that can meet themoral needs of today's society (high-tech).Therefore, today's technology society needs an ethic,or it needs a "creed" made up of norms and limits(limits of development) which does not allow it todevelop to the limit that could subdue humanity to therisk of extinction.

In this essay, he presents his ideas about their latest production, elaborating on the issues surrounding the staging of The Merchant of Venice and on the phenomena of the (non)acceptance of alterity, with deep historical roots. How can antisemitism and The Merchant of Venice be approached after the Holocaust? How does this text fit into our own age, shedding a sharp light on its ideological, linguistic, and political relations? Who is Jessica? Visky’s fascinating essay invites readers on a real adventure in thinking.

In this research paper the Game of Thrones video game is juxtaposed with the original book and TV series in order to investigate the differences in failures experienced by the characters, primarily in the context of its fairness. J. Juul's book from 2013 serves as a main source of theoretical framework. It is argued that by misinforming the player about their influence on the plot, the game causes the player to develop learned helplessness, which, in turn, causes a lack of interest and lowered enjoyment.
