The integrity of the personality of a person is the basis of his social status, and therefore without regard to the development of society, the individual leads a permanent battle for his affirmation and existence. The battle of socialization, the process of interaction in which the new member in the social community adopts knowledge, skills, habits, norms, values and other insights necessary for successful integration into the social group or the wider community is much more difficult and longer for persons of varying degrees and kind of disability. The aim of our research was to determine the mutual relations in the family as well as in the environment, with peers, teachers and some personal qualities such as: sociability, dominance and curiosity of children with intellectual disability and children with cerebral palsy. Using causal and descriptive analysis method, Rene Gill's testing technique and test for social and family relationships, sample data compiled of 12 children with cerebral palsy aged 5 to 20 years and 28 children with mild intolerant disability at the age of 7 to 20 years. The data were tabulated and statistically processed using the X-square test. The analysis of the results indicated that the two groups of respondents at a younger age were more attached to the mother, but in the later period the relationship of the boys with the father prevailed and the copying as a model, the other groups noted greater attachment to the teacher. The difference between the groups is noted in the distance and adequate social behavior, in boys with intellectual disability and girls with cerebral palsy there is greater distancing and adequate social behavior. We can conclude that the two groups are not fully adapted to the people and the surrounding environment.

Formulas are derived and presented for the distances to the vertices and the midpoints of the sides and diagonals of a quadrilateral from three of its notable points. They are used to prove some inequalities in the quadrilateral, connecting the lengths of its sides and diagonals. An interesting property of the centroid of a quadrilateral inscribed in a circle has been found too.

Replacing of conventional technology for producing microfilters with a laser technology is presented in the paper. Two approaches for laser drilling through melting and sublimation are discussed. The paper describes possibilities of laser technology in obtaining filters and sieves with different diameters of the holes in the microwave range as well as high homogenity of structures. Detailed analysis of photo-etching as an alternative to laser drilling of microfilters with a certain geometry has been carried out. Advantages and disadvantages of the most common technologies are shown, too

The influence of mixing procedure on the size of polyelectrolyte complexes (PECs) was investigated using modified jet mixing complexation technique. Two natural weak polyelectrolytes – chitosan and alginate were used for PECs formation. All the experiments were done with 0.1% solution of the polyelectrolytes in acetate buffer with pH 5 and ionic strengths 0.1 M. The average particle diameter was determined by the method of dynamic light scattering using the Microtrac Nanotrac Wave Particle Size, Zeta Potential and Molecular Weight Analyzer. It has been found that decreasing the diameter of the outlet tube, which brings PEC out from the mixing chamber, and increasing its length, reduces the average diameter of the complex that is in the nano-size range. Mixing at a higher pressure in the chamber, which depends on the open state of the jets at the same tube geometry, also results in the formation of smaller PECs. Possible explanation for the observed phenomenon could be the tendency of PEC to aggregate at lower velocities and longer mixing times

The olive leaf extract has been known for its healing abilities since ancient times, when it was used to brew tea and to treat multiple conditions. In modern times it is advertised as a natural source of antioxidants which have a positive effect on human health. The extract is offered on the market as a food supplement by many different manufacturers and can be found in either capsulated or bulk form. The purpose of this experiment is to compare the antioxidant effect of the extract in relation to the form in which it is. The effect was tested in two separate systems for evaluation of total antioxidant activity - ABTS and DPPH. It was established that the extract marketed in capsulated form has better antioxidant properties than the bulk form. The tests in biologically relevant systems showed that while both forms have strong antioxidant abilities, the capsulated form achieves the same biological effect in smaller doses of the extract. The carried out experiments in all tested systems proved that the antioxidant effect of the capsulated form is stronger than the bulk one. The difference in antioxidant activity is most likely due to the protective properties of the capsule.

The problem concerning unity of scientific knowledge and hence its transformation into educational knowledge is not new to research. In recent years, the idea of implementing this unity has been present in the normative documentation for the management of pre-school and school education. The question remains how the concept of integration is materialized in the aforementioned documentation, and especially how it is technologically enshrined in the practice of training. The article presents a comprehensive model for integration, which is in the intersection of formal and non-formal education and its professional pedagogical decoding in three interconnected sections - normative, contentive and technological. In these three sections, integral constructs are brought out as a new kind of entity aimed at forming students’ cognitive, affective, reflective and social skills through content-based emphasis in environmental education.

In Croatian, as a highly inflected language, morphology plays an important role in words of some word classes, especially those carrying the most important semantic information. This strong morphological encoding gives the speakers of Croatian relative freedom in choosing the word order enabling them to use the word order in emphasizing particular elements in the sentence. Croatian language does not have a long history in studying SLI. The profiles ofSLI children have been described in some segments but the relative poorness of the existing data on regular language development makes it difficult to give the precise description of SLI. The morphological component of the language is the one that is most affected by the SLI. Seven cases and two numbers of the noun and adjective declension and three persons, two numbers and six tenses of the verb conjugation represent the biggest challenges for the Croatian children with the SLI. If the morphology does not function, the syntax does not necessarily provide the additional redundant grammatical information. Eight well documented subjects which all met the criteria for SLI diagnosis were followed during the one year period. The study was designed with guiding principle of possible classification of errors but at the same time with awareness that the sample is too small to generalize. The subjects’ conversations and narrative episodes were recorded. The episodes were transcribed and analyzed to get insight in one particular segment of children language - neologisms.

Second language acquisition for learners with Asperger Syndrome (AS) and other forms of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a vastly under-researched field, yet language facilitators have these students in their classrooms every day. Nevertheless, educators do not have the correct training and information to help learners achieve their language goals. This case study provides insight into how to create more inclusive classrooms for students with high functioning autism and Asperger Syndrome. It provides research on second language acquisition with learners on the autism spectrum and reveals the importance of inclusivity in language learning classrooms. The case study follows a University undergraduate student in his English for Specific Purposes courses for two-years at the University of Costa Rica. The case study provides insights and recommendations for language teachers to help ASD students acquire a second language.
