This study is focusing on representing the work-in-progress of the Bibliography of Russian community in Pančevo, as well the issues of recording, bibliographical descriptions, preservation, accessibility and digitalisation of publications of russian zarubezhye (first wave of immigration). The title “BRK” is authentic, taken from the stamp which is located on all the books in this collection. In the year of jubilee, marking the victory over fascism in Pančevo, we tried to throw some light on the destiny of russian migration in new historical circumstances and, connected with that, the destiny of this library which contains the publications of russkoe zarubezhye. It’s a common fact that in this historical moment, many immigrant libraries, owned by Russians in the Serbian Kingdom, were destroyed (like for example the library of Ruskiy Dom in Belgrade). In this study we included the bibliographical description of one part of fundus that we found significant — the first publications of the authors of zarubezhye. List is given in old ortography, in the way the publications were printed.

Sven Anders Henin (1865-1952) was a Swedish geographer, geopolitician, topographer and explorer. He came from a financially well-situated environment of Swedish middle class. His father was the chief architect of Stockholm. In 1885, after graduating from high school, he started his studies interrupted by trips to the Middle East. Firstly, in Sweden he studied geology, mineralogy and zoology, then continued studying in Berlin under the direction of famous geographical Ferdinand von Richthofen, ending it obtained a doctorate in 1892. During four expeditions to Central Asia, he discovered the Transhimalaya and the sources of the Brahmaputra, Indus and Sutlej Rivers, Lake Lop Nur, and the remains of cities, grave sites and the Great Wall of China in the deserts of the Tarim Basin. Hedin revealed to the world its geopolitical position, publishing in 1915 a book titled “The people in arms”. Swedish geopolitician entered into polemics with Polish traveler and writer Ferynand Ossendowski and his book Beasts, Men and Gods. Hedin could not ignore the part of this book presenting the author’s alleged journey from Mongolia to the north-east Tibet and back. In his opinion nothing there did not agree with reality. After unpleasantness he suffered for his attitude during the war, he continued his research about Central Asia. In the book titled “From Beijing to Moscow” he once more questioned the veracity of Ossendowski’s book.

This bibliographical survey covers books dealing with the Turkic music of Siberia in the Russian Federation. In addition to reviewing books published by Turkic authors, this article includes some relevant works by Russian musicologists. However, the works authored by Siberian scholars abroad was excluded from this survey. It contains references only in Russian and Turkic languages. Because of the increase in the number of books published recently, a careful selection has been made in order to keep the references section to an acceptable length. Hence, the bibliography does not embody all of the works of a single author on the topic. This essay also gives an idea of recent research trends and topics in traditional music studies in Siberia. It consists of six parts including Tuvan music, Sakha music, Altai music, Khakas music, Shor music, and other publications on music.

The Red List of fauna of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was first made as a report, and later as part of the legal obligations under the publication in the Official Gazette of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to the authors, all of them from the Faculty of Sciences University of Sarajevo, the Red List contains only 18 bat species. They wrote this report in 2013 using the literature which dates from the early 20th century. At the time of writing their report, for Bosnia and Herzegovina was known 28 species. That only shows that the authors of the Red List does not know absolutely nothing about the recent research of bats in BiH, or the published articles from the region, in which were processed the species of BiH.

The last decades have witnessed growing interest in Karaim Studies. The main impetus for this renewed academic attention comes from the Karaim communities’ vigorous commitment to maintaining their cultural, religious, and historical heritage. Since the end of the last century, when changing political circumstances in the post-Soviet era opened up new possibilities and raised new expectations for ethnic and religious minorities in Central Europe, scholars of Karaim Studies have had the opportunity to participate in conferences and meetings organised by outstanding intellectual leaders of the Karaim communities in Vilnius, Warsaw, and Halich. It has proved to be beneficial for all types of Karaim studies to conduct a dialogue with the communities and provide scholarly support for the maintenance of the Karaim heritage.

When we read these lines about a year ago, no one thought it was a document humain, the farewell of the scholar, the academician, our colleague and friend, and a poignant explanation of why András Kubinyi had become a medieval researcher , We could not have imagined how unexpectedly this career of magnificent arches, which was in no small measure guided by the genes inherited from the Upper Hungarian aristocratic family, will end in perpetuity.
