The latest tendencies in traductology establish some communication competences in order to translate: the grammatical competence, the sociolinguistic competence, the discursive competence. Cohesion and coherence are indispensable for these competences. If translation shares some metalinguistic experiences or procedures of transformation and textual transposition whose existence is possible thanks to the structure of the already existing writing, to which we should refer, to translate the mentality and its intertextuality means to project translation and traductology in the mysterious field of the uncertainty principle.

An emphasis of the presentation is that the future of the Bulgarian language is also closely related to the study of the language as a foreign one, as well as to the open dialogue, which includes the sharing of the foreign culture. Learning language as a character system for communication and cognition must be complemented by the consistent teaching of the foreign country’s cultural code. Building skills in the students to seek a different type of “specifi c” information in the foreign language contributes to their development as professional translators and experts on the socio-cultural space of the foreign country. “Specifi c” information refers to the phraseology of a language whose absorption represents a traditional diffi culty in language learning.This is because the use of phraseological units presumes a high level of communicative competence and knowledge of the life, habits and cultural dialogue in the broadest sense of the foreign socium. The presentation covers one of the books of Bulgarian as a foreign language department’s team – “Stumbling stones in language learning”, Sofi a: Gutenberg, 2013, where special questionnaires and exercise system are developed to ease the understanding and utilization of phraseological units in the target language. The socio-cultural aspect of learning Bulgarian as a foreign language also includes the formation of language-etiquette competence, i.e. the knowledge of the polite phrases as part of the speech etiquette (Hadjieva, E. et al, “How to communicate in Bulgarian?”. The text examines the issues of freedom of speech in terms of social sciences and linguistics. Freedom of speech and its limits are confronted with manifestations of linguistic aggression. The text presents the legal protection of this fundamental human right but also the obligations that must be followed in its practice. The text tries to present some of the concepts of linguistic aggression, without being exhaustive and to indicate some areas of aggressive verbal behavior in the context of the common manifestations of human aggression.

The concept of homeland is among the main concepts which comprise the linguistic picture of the world of every individual. It accumulates in itself a rich spectrum of notions of a protected, home-related, cozy and sacral space, of a community which serves as a basis to distinguish between us and them in a literal and symbolic way. The present paper discusses the types of nominations of this concept which exist in the mind of young Bulgarians born abroad. It presents the results of an empirical study of the linguistic and cultural markers used by 40 Bessarabian Bulgarian students at the Taraclia State University in Moldova, and by 21 14-18-year old Moldavian pupils with Bulgarian identity from different secondary schools.

There has been an increased interest in the field of informational and psychological warfare conducted by the Russian Federation directed at Western countries and their allies following the intensification of the conflict in Ukraine. The most visible example of this are the activities in the field of propaganda, disinformation and psychological operations accompanied the annexation of the Crimea and manipulate the American public during the presidential election in 2016. Trolling as one of using tools of such activity is a highly visible manifestation in which users or automatic comment generation programs manipulate online discussions. This phenomenon is visible and widely discussed in the media discourse. Efforts are being made to develop academically rigorous systems of identification and description. This paper presents the results and main conclusions reached through the application of the author’s method of analysing key words supported by corpus-based analysis in exploring this phenomenon.

The reprezented statement is an attempt for a short thematic, literature and historical review of original narrative examples of the childhood memory in the Bulgarian prose for children and teenagers. The selected examples for analysis are from autobiographic texts published within the 20s and 80s of the 20th century. The observed elements from the narrations are: space and time models, types of characters and children teams, the authors‘styles, the genre specifics and the structure of the surveyed works. The development and the evolution of the artistic and aesthetic topic of the childhood memory in the Bulgarian prose for children and teenagers are compared with the prose for adults during the same period.

The article develops the thesis that the formulation of topics for school papers and especially the essay must be done through contextual approach, that requires the student to be aware in what context is the theme for the essay so that when he chooses, to coordinate it with other introduced problems and thus to construct more interesting and originally the composition of the text. The student chooses one of the proposed topics, but through the others he compacts meaningful and compositional aspect of his text. Regarding the applied nature of the article we have introduced problematic thematic circle for the number in the work of Hristo Botev, Ivan Vazov and Pencho Slaveykov and using the principle of vocabulary we offered topics in connection with this problem.

The importance of terminology in the era of globalisation stems from the fact that nowadays the rapid growth of scientific and technological knowledge is practically impossible without paying attention to the state of terminology. Special lexical units comprise more than 90 percent of the new words in modern langtrages. The growth of scientific and technical vocabularies is much faster than that of the everyday speech vocabulary, so at present the number of terms in some sciences (for e,rample chemistry or biology) exceeds the number of common words. We can compare the following figures: the full, unabridged version of the Webster's dictionary contains about 700,000 English words; the largest Russian 17-volume dictionary treats some 120,000 words (though already there are dictionaries containing ca. 200,000 words); at the same time Russian construction terminology numbers more than 150,000 words, modern biological terminology exceeds a million names for varieties of living beings, in chemistry we know more than 1,5 million substances. In industry already at the beginning of the 1980s more than 20 million types of various products were manufactured, each of them having its own special name.

In my article I will present the language situation in Sweden and the Swedish centre of Terminology TNc, the „hub“ in Swedish terminology work for more than 65 years. Terminology work in Sweden is also performed in a systematic way by others: some public agencies and private companies handle their own terminology needs, but still in close contact with TNc. however, a new terminology market has evolved where other consultants than TNc are offering terminology services, and this will also be mentioned.

The paper is dedicated to Hi-Fi magazines. The author offers a stylistic analysis of selected texts taken from “Hi-FI i Muzyka” (magazines from the 2012-2014 period), focused on specific types of columns: tests of audio equipment (amplifiers, CD players, gramophones, loudspeakers, etc). The article contains a short description of the magazine and its content, then author has suggested stylistic tools for describing sound (ordered in categories) and offered an analysis with citations.
