Summary/Abstract: In post-conflict Bosnia and Herzegovina, one of the key problems is corruption. According to numerous researches and reports, corrupt activities mostly hinder our country on the path to Euro-Atlantic integration, hinder the reform process, and at the same time progress for citizens. // The European Commission (EC) report for 2016, for example, states that Bosnia and Herzegovina has adopted certain laws and action plans to fight corruption, expressed a political commitment to address this problem, but that no concrete results have followed. // Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to the report, has reached a certain level of preparedness to fight corruption. Some progress has been made with the adoption of action plans at various levels of government, but, according to the European Commission, fragmentation is negatively affecting their effective implementation. Corruption remains widespread in many areas and remains a serious problem, according to a European Commission report. // The perception of corruption as a key scourge of our society is shared by citizens. According to the Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index2, Bosnia and Herzegovina ranks 83rd out of 176 countries, below the countries of the region - Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia. Bosnia and Herzegovina, for example, received a score of 39 in 2016, on a scale of zero to 100, and shares a position with Albania.
