Summary/Abstract: The paper examines the existing implementation of musical ECA (extracurricular activities) of elementary school students and the possibilities of their improvement from the perspective of teachers. The research was conducted on a sample (N=191) of music teachers from eight counties in the Republic of Croatia. In accordance with the set goal, the research tasks were defined, which wanted to examine the competence of teachers for conducting music ECA, the representation of different forms of music ECA in elementary school and the possibility of their enrichment. For the purposes of this research, a two-part instrument was constructed and applied. The first part of the Questionnaire collected basic sociodemographic data on teachers. The second part of the Questionnaire offered a series of statements about the existing implementation of music ECA, and teachers' views on the possibilities of their improvement were collected. The results of the research confirmed the need for teachers to enrich the offer of musical activities in schools. A positive connection was established between teachers' motivation to work in music ECA and satisfaction with the realization of the weekly number of hours in music ECA at school. Furthermore, a significant positive connection was found between the teacher self-assessment of competence to conduct music ECA and participation in professional training organized by the Education and Teacher Training Agency.
