Summary/Abstract: The article complements the research on Franz Lux’s organbuilding activities, which intensified in the past decade. It points out the importance of an academic center such as the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin in the transfer of church property (including musical items) during the communist period. Further, it proves that a thorough archival search permits instrumentologists to significantly supplement and expand the state of knowledge about individual organ, even those that have already been subjected to historical and instrumental research. It remains to be hoped that a growing number of organologists from a number of Polish musicological and organist centers will expand their analyses in the future to include archives that have been used rarely or not at all so far.
