Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to investigate the polarization with regards to the image of Polish society. The German discourse on the presidential election in Poland in July 2020 has been analyzed. The scope of the research consists of German press articles which have been published in mid-July 2020. On the basis of the analysis, the question has been answered, what image of Polish society during the presidential election has been created by the German media. On the basis of the conducted analysis, images of two groups have been determined which had supported their presidential candidates.
