Summary/Abstract: In the era of digital technology society everyday generates electronic data, respectively leaves digital traces that are potential electronic evidence for law enforcement authorities. Expert studies have shown that electronic data is increasingly the only proof, resp. "the key" for disclosure of many crimes, especially those with a cross-border element. For this purpose access to electronic databases stored by digital service providers abroad is needed. For such situations, there are already developed mechanisms for criminal law cooperation. Practice shows however that they are not sufficiently fast and effective, especially when an immediate response is required to preserve and transmit relevant information of utmost importance to the criminal investigation.
