Summary/Abstract: This paper summarizes the available reports on the coexistence of the Jewish and Christian population in the Lesser Town (Malá Strana) of Prague in the 15th and early 16th centuries that we know about from Christian sources. The reports in question contain information about Jewish-owned houses and about Jewish ties in the Lesser Town. Specifically discussed in this paper are the business activities of individual Jews and the contemporary events that influenced their lives. Also covered is the migration of individual families. A specific feature of the history of Jewish settlement in this period is the interconnectedness of family and business ties, as well as a dependence on official state policies.
