Summary/Abstract: The Canadian women‘s movement is an important political force that has а significant impact on public mentality and government‘s policy. The article addresses the following issues: the features of the current stage of the women‘s movement in Canada, the outcomes of the interaction between the state and the women‘s movement, the experience of cooperation between Canadian and Russian organizations in the field of gender issues.
