Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the study of the ways of figurative representation of the Russo-Turkish war of 1877-1878 as Russia's liberation war in the Balkans. The main attention is paid to the identification of Christian images and symbols in Russian artistic and poetic texts of the period of the Serbo-Turkish 1876 and Russo-Turkish 1877-1878 wars.
