Summary/Abstract: Praise in a verse to the monarch and the institution is a common cultural behavior of eighteenth-century authors. In Russia, M.V. Lomonosov wrote ode-praises to the monarch and the monarchy. The ode has a national-historical and patriotic theme. In the 19th century, praises of the monarch and the monarchy were also written in Bulgaria. The Bulgarian community is in the Ottoman Empire. P.R. Slaveykov praises Sultan Abdul Azis in his unsigned work On the Reign of His Majesty Sultan Abdul Aziz through the notions of folklore, history, and, in the broadest sense of the word - the church, adapted to the secular. With these ideas P.R. Slaveykov thinks and evaluates the world. The text is a supplement to the struggles of the Bulgarians for independence from the Ecumenical Patriarchate. The historical theme is the common between Russia and Bulgaria in these praises of the monarch and the monarchy of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
