Summary/Abstract: The paper interprets the relation teacher-disciple and the problem of the miracle in Dostoyevsky’s novel The Brothers Karamazov from the viewpoint of the connection between the eastern philosophy (Hinduism) and the ideas of Orthodoxy. The writer’s genius can be found in his works, in his intuition about the connection between the cultures of the East and the West and in his negation of materialism and socialism.
